DELETE DATA AND ACCOUNT DELETION REQUESTS

AbodeMatch respects your control over your data. This page explains how to request deletion of your AbodeMatch account and associated personal information.

How to request deletion

Option A: In app (fastest)

Open the AbodeMatch app and go to Settings > Account > Delete Account, then follow the prompts.

Option B: Via email (if you cannot access the app)

Email ops@abodematch.com.au from the email address linked to your AbodeMatch account with:

Subject: Account Deletion Request

Include: your full name and the mobile number linked to your account (if available)

Security verification

To protect you from unauthorised requests, we will verify your identity before processing deletion. This may include sending a confirmation link or one time code to your registered email address or mobile number. If we cannot verify your identity, we may ask for additional information.

What happens after you request deletion

Once verified:

• your profile will be removed from the matching pool

• your account will be deactivated and scheduled for deletion

• we will delete or permanently de identify personal information associated with your account within 30 days.

Retention exceptions

We may retain limited records where we are required or authorised to do so, including for:

• legal and taxation obligations (for example, financial records)

• fraud prevention and security logging

• dispute resolution

• safety and incident records and audit requirements.

Any retained information is restricted and handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Important: subscriptions and billing

Deleting your AbodeMatch account does not automatically cancel an app store subscription.

If you subscribed via Apple (iOS), cancel in your Apple ID subscriptions settings.

If you subscribed via Google Play (Android), cancel in Google Play subscriptions.

Refund requests for Apple or Google purchases must be made through Apple or Google.
